Beaumont Gallery
The environment is designed as a room high representation takes the place of the Grand Gallery, which connected the Royal Palace to the Senate and housed the collections of Savoy.
Destroyed after the fires of 1659 and 1667, its reconstruction is designed by Filippo Juvarra in 1733 who also designed the decoration.
The name by which the gallery is now known to him from the court painter, the Turin Claudio Francesco Beaumont, between 1738 and 1743, he painted in oil on time, the Stories of Aeneas. It was set up in 1837 with collections of antique weapons.
