An exhibition of works by the winner of the "Toro d’acciaio 2013," Simone Benedetto, a sculptor versatile in the choice of materials and techniques that uses figurative language to address such issues often related to social issues. Between art and social co-operation also moves the project "Patch-net" of DOP Architects, for a tapestry in wool recycled: a modern interpretation of an old crochet technique, the "Point Crochet" through 30 hands and 15 heads from all over the world. The embroidery is also inserted in the paintings of Margaret Ilaria and becomes a language: action, gesture, the courage to change pass through the wire, symbol of perpetual labor, wire and untie the knots of the way out.
From a passion for movement and its processes and experiences in the field of theater and dance, comes the "Digital Action Painting" by Rajan Craven: a software with which the artist creates images, an interactive system that reacts in time actual movement of the hands, leaving a color or altering what already exists in a free flow of creativity from which we extract a sudden snapshots, combinations of shapes and colors moved by emotions. A little 'wizards and a little' children, a little 'research and a little' ecologists, the duo Madvision focuses on issues facing the planet today analyzing the despair of the human condition comes with a re-reading of the facts that stimulates the imagination and makes reflect on the state of modern society.
The series "Asylum" by Edward Serretti is what being is, unencumbered by social factors that surround it. In "Silent Army" by Anna Tassini bodies are stripped of logos, fabrics and contemporary colors and the skin becomes a uniform; image remains the weapon, the object that survives along with human emotions recounted by the body that you re-create it. In "Lesbian is not an insult" of Clumsy naked bodies of lesbian women and black lettering are the means of communication used to investigate the female homosexuality, to open a dialogue to those who do not know of it or totally ignored. Bodies also in the "Do not drown by falling in the river, but being immersed in it," Richard Flag, made ??of water with disposable underwater cameras. The photographs by Simona Bertolotto, all strictly taken by smartphones, are processed and printed on mirror those of Marcella Gallotta, however, investigate the complex phenomena of the contemporary city.
Between visibility and invisibility, legibility and illegibility runs the artistic career of Julien Cachki with the objective to make the viewer interact with the work, making the invisible visible through the imagination and the unreadable readable through the spirit. They play on the perception of the real substance of things the work of Ignazio Fresu, whose poetry is intended to give a face to portray the beauty of the ephemeral and the eternal deception perpetrated by time. The drama, inside and outside of the subjects, in Loriana Pionna, finally focuses on the eyes, which become as big as windows.
