The Triumph of Divine Providence
National Gallery of Ancient Art in Palazzo Barberini
This is one of the most celebrated frescoes of baroque art. Pietro da Cortona decorated the vaulted ceiling of the main hall of the building, following the designs of the scholarly Francesco Bracciolini, praising Divine Providence and, above all, the Barberini family whose crest of bees is to be found at the center of the ceiling.
