National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art
This painting shows the first phase of Neoplasticism, a painting style of which Mondrian was the principal exponent and was typified by works created along a “grid”. The painter's creations, decidely abstract, are still easily identified with the artist. This work is the only piece by the dutch artist in Italy.
