DESCRIZIONE:
The painting, commissioned by the Venetian Senate, is today exhibited in the third chapel to the left. Compared to the usual horizontal layout, it is set at different levels with the Virgin fainting into the foreground and the deposition of Christ in partial view, which make it very dramatic.
