Hunting Residence of Stupinigi – Museo dell'arte e dell'ammobiliamento

DESCRIZIONE:
The museum has a large collection of priceless furniture and household items, ranging from rococo to neoclassicism. It includes wardrobes, living room furniture, tables, console tables, ceiling lights and china from all of the Savoy residences. The most valuable items include prie-dieux made by the cabinet maker Pietro Piffetti (18th century) and a beautiful carved and lacquered desk unit in the Bonzanigo Room, which is thought to have been made by Giuseppe Maria Bonzanigo (1745-1820). The cabinet maker from Asti also created the design scheme for the King’s Antechamber, which is sumptuously furnished with mirrors, screens and sitting room furniture, as well as a rich array of tapestries and upholstery.
