Altar by Filippo Juvarra
This altar is located in the second chapel on the right, which is dedicated to Saint Joseph. It was made by Filippo Juvarra between 1721 and 1724, but the name of the generous benefactor who paid for it is unknown. The trabeation on the raised columns and pillars follows the curved line of the altar and contains a conch with a dedicatory plaque. Completing the array of decorations are paintings by Dionigi Girolamo Donnini from 1743 (the Vision of Saint Joseph, the Marriage of the Virgin and the Transit of Saint Joseph), two Cross-bearing angels and two wreathed Burning vases.
