DESCRIZIONE:
The palace was for centuries the core of city life: the residence of the Doge, the seat of the Government and the Court of Justice.
Built from the IX century, it was changed many times until it took the current shape featuring two facades, of which the one facing the quay is the oldest (1340), characterized by a colonnade featuring splendid capitals (the original ones are in the Museum), and the characteristic two-colour pattern in white and pink. The interior of this amazing compound includes outstanding works of art which are still visible in their original setting.
