Traveler and photojournalist instancancabile, Renato Pasmanik will open Thursday, May 15 at 6 pm, in collaboration with the Gallery Jef Paris, a new solo exhibition at Officina delle Zattere in Venice.
The Brazilian photographer presents the public with a bunch of new color photographs ( digital prints on Hahnemühle paper, edition 1 /3) made ??during one of his recent trips to the borders of civilization. This time it is a report on Jalapão, a wonderful and wild natural reserve located in the hinterland of Brazil. A new, additional" anchor" exploratory to be added to the general cicloUn Regard Silencieux, which Pasmanik is working on for several years now.
Jalapão is a micro-region of the state of Tocantins , belonging to the Oriental mesoregione do Tocantins . This special place is considered one of the major attractions of the "cerrado", a tropical savannah and ecological Brazil recently become a destination of great interest to lovers of adventure tourism. The photos Pasmanik realized on Jalapão chiramante show the expressive forms of this unspoilt corner of the earth, nature intimately close to man without being exploited , capable of inspiring a silent contemplation.
Character shy and reserved, Renato Pasmanik not willingly grants , not easily tell their emotions, seems to be totally immersed in his work, with nothing to offer our curiosity. Even as a child fascinated by photography and what it reveals (or can reveal ) of ourselves, played his first major work in 1998, creating a portfolio of portraits of the most famous conductors of restaurants in Brazil. A photographic purely psychological on men and on the role that invest in the business world .
Later it attracted by nature and the endless possibilities that the survey can still offer real man's eyes , he turned his attention to the landscape, choosing to portray some of the most remote parts of the planet. Love the aerial photograph, and this cycle , as many of the former it is a new confirmation.
Pasmanik takes place on small aero touring , and in the air allow him to portray the land from the point of view of the sky , allowing them to discover an unusual way in the beauty and vastness. "When you start to take back and fotograre the plane ," says the photographer, "I do not know exactly what plan well and privilege, but I just let the scenery take possession of my goal , my photography to marry earthly forms, which my sensitivity to the photographer and translate the return".
For Pasmanik "A Silencieux Regard" is to show that the earth is abundant and teeming with life, water , fauna , flora forms are beautiful and fulfilling, that totally reflect our emotions. The author prefers to portray places divorced from human presence, where the feeling of intimate raccogliemento thus assumes greater grandeur and majesty. It seems to be looking for strong emotions, almost primal, inspired by the beauty of what surrounds us , without mediation", taste with the immensity of the goal for me is extremely rewarding", says Pasmanik, "I have the feeling of owning the the world".
