Few artists have managed to upset so much nature, like Picasso, to exchange them for the Gods.
Picasso, creating! It's what you feel whenever you approach a work that goes beyond our perceptions.
This both attracts and repels us as if we knew that sustain long gaze of Beauty terrifies. This truth of an artist you've never stopped being a man.
La Galerie Bordas presents Picasso, the exhibition! Through numerous works that include the whole of his life: the incisions (as Le combat dans l'arène, 1937, the same year in which he painted "Guernica"), lithographs (as Les deux femmes nues, 1945), the ceramics produced in Vallauris by Ramié, picture books (in particular the spectacular Le Chant des Morts with poems by Pierre Reverdy), the original posters (those for peace congresses in London and Vienna in the 50s, or those printed on linoleum from Arnera), the magazine Verve.
And through the encounter with lithographer Fernand Mourlot, with publishers Tériade and PAB, and documents that testify to the intimate moments of the artist's creation.
The catalog, in addition to playing all the graphics in the exhibition, contains a testimony of Fernand Mourlot on his working relationship with Picasso, and some unpublished letters of their correspondence.
