aequilibrium.
noun (pl.equilibria) [ mass noun ] from Latin aequilibrium,
from aequi- ‘equal’+ libra ‘balance’.
a state in which opposing forces or actions are balanced so that one is not stronger or greater than the other, a state of rest due to the equal action of opposing forces.
a state in which a process and its reverse are occurring at equal rates so that no overall change is taking place: ice is in equilibrium with water. E the task is the maintenance of social
equilibrium. a state of physical balance.
A condition in which all acting influences are canceled by others, resulting in a stable, balanced.
aequilibrium is a goal we all want to achieve.
There is a balance understood as an attempt to stand up, not to fall, to resist the force of gravity. There is a balance as moment, as a situation on hold, between something that is going to happen, but it does not gonna happen. Between one possibility and the other. There is balance between the sym- bols and the lines, between a strong and a slight sign, a sign of a cold and hot. There is balance be- tween images, between figurative and abstract. There are four different artists: Ariel Schlesinger, Francesco De Prezzo, Ignacio Uriarte, Nicola Ballarini, who respectively are investigating four situa- tions, each seeking its own balance.
For an exhibition that will lean.
