DESCRIZIONE:
The church, also known as Santa Maria dei Derelitti was built in 1575 on an area occupied by a hospital. The original design is by Andrea Palladio while the facade, dating back to 1670, is the work of Baldassarre Longhena, as is the courtyard, the stairway and the Music Hall. The Music Hall is an important testimony to the musical activities carried out at the Ospedaletto. The Hall contains wonderful frescoes created in the Eighteenth Century by the students of Tiepolo.
