DESCRIZIONE:
The San Stae Church (Sant'Eustachio in Venetian) is remembered since 1127 but was re-built in the second half of the 1600s by Giovanni Grassi who changed its orientation, making it perpendicular to the Grand Canal. The facade was made by Domenico Rossi (1709-1710) following the wishes of Doge Alvise II Mocenigo, buried in the middle of the church. The interior, characterized by a brightness enhanced by the white colour of the walls, is clearly influenced by Palladio.
