DESCRIZIONE:
The palace was built by Baldassarre Longhena for the Bon family starting from 1649 and draws on the famous model of the Sansovino Ca' Corner. Still unfinished at his death (1682), it was completed after being purchased by Giambattista Rezzonico in 1751. The work was entrusted to Giorgio Massari while the inner rooms were decorated by the greatest painters of the time: Giambattista Tiepolo, Gaspare Diziani and Jacopo Guarana.
In 1935 it was purchased by the Municipality which turned it into the Museum of XVIII-century Venetian art.
