DESCRIZIONE:
It is the church of the chivalric order of SS. Maurizio e Lazzaro set up in 1573 by duke Emmanuel Philibert. The building, built between 1679 and 1699, is by Antonio Bettino, while the neoclassical facade is by Carlo Bernardo Mosca (1835-36).
The decorations and frescoes of the interior mostly date back to the changes made under Victor Emmanuel II (1858-59). Together with the Hospital and the Palazzo del Grande Ospitaliere, it is part of the so-called "island of the Maurice order ".
