Tommaso Rangone statue
San Marco

- Artist: Sansovino
- Location: Tommaso Rangone statue
- Date: 1554
The entrance lunette portrays doctor Tommaso Rangone from Ravenna, who financed the reconstruction of the church, surrounded by the objects reminiscent of his interest: books, a globe, astrological tables, healing herbs. This is the first example in Venice of celebration of a lay customer on the facade of a church.
