The exhibition explores the "second life" of the buildings and not through the perspective of manufacturers, users or administrators, but from the point of view of a reader. The prolific writer, art critic, photographer, painter and video artist Yao Jui-Chung (born 1969) started the project Ruins since the early 90s. From the considerable body of photographs in black and white, all intense and poetic, were selected some of the best known works and a video, showing what remains of the original structures, residential buildings Han Chinese, example of western architecture of the 19th century, and emblematic industrial ruins as if it were the post-war architecture present on an island prison for political dissidents.
