On Thursday 18 at 06pm at Palazzetto Tito opens the exhibition of the 97th Youth Collective's recipients of scholarship, who will present to the public the works of Giammarco Cugusi, Veronica De Giovannelli and Graziano Meneghin after a year of work.
Every year the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa offers at the winners artists of the Young Artists Collective of the previous year, in addition to a cash contribution, the opportunity to exhibit new works in its space with a project dedicated to them.
The exhibition and the extensive documentation that follows in the catalog conclude an important relationship between the institution and its artists, the exhibition an opportunity to present the evolution of his artistic research, showing that for the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa training and growth are the main target.
The three artists, will have space prestigious Palace Tito with which they will try to talk through facilities that will test experimentally their attitudes and artistic pursuits.
"Giammarco Cugusi shows three different installations that reflect on the exhibition site: sprinklers, in their size tools weakened although invasive, are the protagonists of the work Irrigate: cultivate a process. The artist subverts the walls that become soil, as in 'Carrots work; the walls are live plants and roots seem to cross them. the third work is a new version of Ascentions made with spools of cardboard and aluminum alluding to the structure of a climbing plant such as a sudden sprouting. watching you grow up watching and perhaps even die.
The pictorial research Veronica De Giovanelli becomes a broad reflection on the water and the earth as masses of color that depict the landscape of the lagoon in the floating line created by the tides. The Venice lagoon is constantly changing, nonostantele great works that relate to try to govern natural phenomena, as suggested by the title of the large canvas If a clod be washed away by the sea. In the series of small paintings Deharuspicibus auguribusque, looks multiplied a bird and zoom and move closer to the surface of our eye in some places seems to dive, with ranges of cold and warm colors that fade with each other, that blend, hybridize as the action of high water.
Graziano Meneghin with The True Story of Ada and Antonio. A film ever, still, shot builds a script, a set, the plot of a film involving different authors and occasional. All backed by the conviction that, in the end, the maximum dispersion, work reformat and return to the intimacy of the artist with amazing natural poetic. If the emergence of tensions and symptoms narrative between artifacts and small materials is the goal of the artist, the story of Ada and Antonio may not ever become a movie, but remain a set of elements paratextual over a long table about two feet wide and less than a meter.
