Despite just during the Festival was badly received by critics, the film earned him an Oscar in 1956 for Fellini.
THE EXHIBITION - pay homage to Federico Fellini and host the work of a visionary artist like Roberto Di Costanzo is the successful synthesis of this ambitious artistic project that comes to life in May of 2014 in the wonderful vegetarian restaurant Il Margutta RistorArte Claudio and Tina Vannini, just Margutta, in Rome, in the house of the director of Rimini. The exhibition "Under the house of Frederick" was curated by Francesca Barbi Marinetti and designed by Tina Vannini.
The artistic project on Frederick had long been the intent of Tina Vannini being the husband Claudio Vannini linked to the director by personal memories. In fact, Fellini, who lived next door, where we read the plaque that commemorates him, it was in the eighties a frequent visitor to the Roman Margutta vegetarian and there are many stories that still circulate recalling the exceptional presence.
DESIGN - Fellini was related to the design. For him it was a survey instrument and consolation, ironic and pungent, who accompanied him throughout his life. And right through the drawing Roberto Di Costanzo remember, also recalling Fellini's Rome: from the sweet life in Ginger and Fred, until the recent recall of Paolo Sorrentino's great beauty. Di Costanzo chases so the moments of Fellini with refined attention. It fulfills the dream-like beauty, it ensnares the complaint affabulata and playful. Stay in tip bends light on the suggestion of a dream that still speaks to us.
"An 'my great excitement, today, in wanting to pay tribute and remember the formula of the design to which I feel bound as he was - says the artist Roberto Di Costanzo - His characters were first of all ideas about wrinkled tablecloths, correspondence and caricatures . To all this is added the magic of Venice has always been independent and courageous progressive in the costume, politics and art. A banquet honoring me strongly supported by my school training Experimental Center of Cinematography and the Fondazione Ente dello Entertainment. "
"In ink drawings of Roberto Fellini's sewing magic that operated between freedom of imagination and knowledge of things - explains Francesca Barbi Marinetti, curator of the exhibition - with a tribute to the locations and famous characters from the films of Fellini, Di Costanzo tells us this. With grace, elegance and poetry captures the light and keen sense of style that hovers between reality and imagination, and pauses to tell the world how it should be rather than as it is. "
