Opale - Other Transparencis

Opale – Other Transparencies is a snapshot of the status of contemporary glass, through a selection of unique works designed and produced by Murano glassmasters now active on the island.

A selection of objects linked by the a common thread of excellence of production, whether it is in the reinterpretation of traditional typologies (chandeliers, mirrors, vases and glasses) or in the form of sculptural, abstract or anthropomorphic works.
Opal, with its peculiarities, is the suggestion from which the exhibition takes inspiration. The purpose is to investigate the interaction between transparency and light as elements whose substance is inseparably related, since one is essential to the revelation of the other.
