Meeting with the author: Haim Baharier

It will officially inaugurate the activities' of Beit Venice (Hebrew bait, house), a new home for the Jewish culture, open to all. Haim Baharier and 'the first official guest of a new reality' that, sponsored by Venice Center for International Jewish Studies, intends to offer to all persons concerned three programs related to the idea of 'live, study and create' in Venice Jewish. Organized in collaboration with the Fondazione Querini Stampalia Onlus, this first meeting with Haim Baharier, a leading scholar of biblical hermeneutics and Jewish thought, inspired by his latest book, The suitcase almost empty. Stories of Jews wandering (Garzanti 2014). The author converse with Giorgio Camuffo and Shaul Bassi. Beit Venice will organize 'regular courses culture and Jewish itineraries, meetings with great personalities (writers, artists and musicians) and shows. With the approach of the five hundredth anniversary of the Ghetto in 2016, Beit Venice aims to revive the history of this city 'as a center of knowledge and creativity' Jewish, well 'as a meeting place and cultural exchange.
