Spazio Thetis at the Biennale of Architecture in Venice hosts the personal "Marica Moro. Genesis second day" from June 7 to November 23 , edited by Fortunato D'Amico on the theme of regeneration between man and nature architecture.
The occasion for this young artist has created the monumental sculpture Genesis 2 whose subject is an individual who emerges from a garden pot to evoke man's birth from the womb of the earth mother and then his unbreakable bond with it. In this regard, Marica Moro in the process of creating the work, using natural elements such as clay, water and resin in which color plays a distinctive role: the blue to the base of the pot is made of water - element at the origin of life, - joins to red and brown - colors tied to the land - and the yellow and green tones that the artist associated with life. Man is made ??with yellow ocher pigment , recalling the light, the sun and the movement to indicate human activity, its connection with nature and its fundamental role in the evolution of society and architecture.
Large vase - sculpture Genesis 2 Marica Moro ( h.300 cm x 150 cm in diameter), placed in the garden, establishing a dialogue with the work of Michelangelo Pistoletto adjacent Third Heaven - Cultivating the city, in fact both works share the theme of the regeneration of man to conceive the creation of an innovative city.
Pistoletto's work is characterized by a structure with three circles, evoking the mathematical sign of infinity and develops outside a large vegetable garden , which involves cultivation for its children, the elderly and associations. The sculpture of Marica Moro emphasizes the need to promote innovative interaction between nature and human activity for a technological development based on social and ethical values.
At Spazio Thetis the combination of the two works by Marica Moro and Michelangelo Pistoletto continues the artistic discourse born in Milan during the Salone del Mobile in 2014 with the creation , on the roof of Superstudio , a large urban garden wall unit that interacts with the large garden pot containing an individual , a metaphor for the advent of a humanity related to the nature and based on cooperation and participation.
Marica Moro at Spazio Thetis once again places the emphasis on the concept of genesis as the need for a return to basics to regain the strong relationship and balance between man and the earth for a positive trend into the future . Topics that are always present in the artistic reflection of the artist and are expressed in his work by experimenting with different languages ??ranging from painting to drawing, sculpture, video and installation.
