From 5 June to 30 September in Venice will feature the largest exhibition of contemporary Indian art, 1200 square meters of exhibition within the spaces of the Arsenale - 92 of tense - organized by EbLand in partnership with Vela Spa, sponsored by the City of Venice and the Embassy of India in Rome, sponsored by Maba Notify Ltd.
Considered a country full of contrasts and contradictions, India is a mixture of races and languages, religions and traditions that have survived for centuries remained closed and almost impenetrable to the rest of the world, as to be seen as a land mysterious and fabulous. Today its "mysteries" will be revealed thanks to an exhibition, can offer an insight into the Indian culture through the works of great artists. 100 works by 28 contemporary artists on display, including 20 paintings, 2 3d, 15 sculptures, 15 installations, 1 video, 60 photographs and a performance, they will revive us the mysteries .
From one of the most important artists Subodh Gupta - famous for its large sculpture shaped like a skull done with the dishes at the entrance to the Palazzo Grassi in Venice - with "Black Think" where he is in the clear lessons of the masters of Dadaism, Marcel Duchamp in the first. Ravinder Reddy - with " Head , considered the senior Indian New Wave, the artist with the variation "pop" that led to the creation of huge colored heads carried in processions popular sfoggianti gold, red, blue and yellow; its the cover image of the book "New Delhi New Wave", edited and written by Dr. Jerome French Neutres, which in turn has worked with the texts of the catalog of this exhibition.
For the first time in Italy the emerging Choyal Akash, the first Indian artist to have carried out the works in 3D, three-dimensional figures that can be read without glasses strongly illusory effect. And yet Sayed Haider Raza, an artist who goes by the geometric forms to symbolic forms, investigates the nature and cares of light and Surendra Pal Joshi with the work "Taana Baana of Paani - series", where a cascade of safety pins creates a great vision, with the intention to make it clear to the audience that every object, even if of little value, used outside of its context, but with creativity can become a work of art.
The pair of artists Thunkral&Tagra, who has made irony and satire belief, so as to become the idols of the Indian New Wave.
