The Gallery Michela Rizzo is pleased to present Postcards of Italy, solo show of Gabriele Basilico curated by Angela Madesani.
By the milanese artist, among the most significant and internationally recognized, will be showcasing the first major project, Milan. Portraits of factories, built between 1978 and 1980, and a survey of Renaissance civil architecture built in 2012 for the Italian volume.
Renaissance masterpieces of FMR-AR T’E, which will be presented during the exhibition. The exhibition brings together two significant moments in search of basil: the representation of the world in a moment of Milanese industrial irreversible transformation at the end of the seventies, and the reflection on the artistic history of our country. In the text "The right fit" (2012) Basilico wrote: "Placing myself in front of these architectures, considered the quintessential Renaissance extent, I chose to apply the compositional freedom of a dense subject identity dense about the implications of culture that they bring in itself, for the reverberations of dense picturesque tourist gaze is sending you today".
