"This young man is an eye" said Ingres seeing the sprawling exhibition of Courbet in Paris in 1855. A young painter with the look of a photographer, able to choose scenes from everyday carrying them in a sacred dimension. By David Weber, who however also chose Paris, we speak of a photographer with the eye of a painter or rather, of a director, that today we might think, to reason, synonyms.
[...] It is not easy to tell a city that has always told. Yet Weber fails to transfer to the viewer a sense of natural curiosity and desire to explore that city ever seen and therefore never existed, because ever told. Create, with that series, a new band of tourists aware of discovering Paris: La Défense, the Bibliothèque Nationale "François Mitterrand", goals certainly not shown in the mundane tourist guides but is likely to face who wants to live, for better worse, the magnetic urban dimension. And Weber interested in just the size of the living. "
