" Ladies and Gentlemen ... Has Elvis left the building , thank you and goodnight. "Al Dvorin , official speaker at concerts Presley, invites the audience to leave the room: Elvis will not return, nor for an encore , nor for the greetings. It's already on his limo direct to the airport, ready for the next date. Elvis has left the building collects the works of fifteen artists, joined by three curators ( Rachel Burgato, Valentina Lacinio, Julia Morucchio ), you are confronted with a shared dimension full of suggestions.
The exhibition , inspired by the experience of the Laboratory of Visual Arts IUAV under the supervision of Alberto Garutti and Catherine Rossato, is housed in the space of the Foundation that BLM intends in this way to renew attention to training venues in the area. The art show is structured like a magic trick, between the artist and the audience is sealed a pact, sharing a specific time : the time of the show, in which the audience asks to be amazed and to the end of which you just have to "go home".
Last day of the 55th Venice Biennale, the exhibition closes. And for this year, the city has had its moment: Venice cradle of exposures. The culture puts on herself, and the Art of major international artists makes its appearance as a star, acclaimed as Queen of the stage. But when time runs out, what's left? The spotlights are off and it seems "to be nothing to see," but it is not. Behind the curtain are the young artists , the new generation ready to seal a new covenant with the public, to provide an additional visual event, limited but dense. From the language of paradox built on language games, visual and conceptual (Lorenzo Commisso , Leonardo Mastromauro , Laura Tinti ), take the limit of the search, understood as a boundary established (Francesco Nordio ) or as follows (Graziano Meneghin ), as liquid layout that gives space to the ubiquity ( Edward Aruta ) or as inescapable calling exhaustion (Valentina Furian ), or as a crippling phobia (Guido Modanese ) that requires a ritual of atonement ( Serena Oliva).
The concepts of limit and paradox then intertwine with the eternal question of identity, which renews itself continuously ( Susan Alberti ), who asks to be problematized ( Peter Bonfanti ) and cared for ( Marzia Avallone ), reinvented ( Yulia Knish ), redefined (Gaia Ceresi ) or evoked (Fabio Valerio Tibollo ).
