Across Chinese Cities – Beijing

Over the centuries, the strategic imagination of Chinese leaders has forged a cultural policy designed to favor flexibility and territoriality, where decentralization and independent management were encouraged according to a system of autonomous subsidiaries that were expanding from the center outwards. Across Chinese Cities - Beijing is a research program in the urban fabric of the city through its particular project (Hay, Double Modernity, Para-Modernity, 2008). The exhibition places its bases, taking as case study the historic district of Dashilar and at the same time highlights the sedimented knowledge of a past made ??of architectural archetypes, developed during the city's history from the early 1600's.
