This prestigious exhibition presents thirty years of stories, meetings and collaborations with the protagonists of Italian fashion and the greatest thespians on the international stage. It is a fascinating journey into elegance and theater attires with more than two hundred stage and concert costumes, sketches and videos, different styles from different times.
A unique opportunity to appreciate the excellent craftsmanship behind each costume and the artistic perfection that the greatest Italian fashion designers have put in their stage creations. The display includes outstanding creations by Armani, Balestra, Biagiotti, Fendi, Missoni and pieces from the private collections of Roger Salas, Raina Kabaivanska, Valentino Garavani, Fondazione Roberto Capucci, Maurizio Galante Archivio, Missoni Archive, conceived for great performers like Mirella Freni, Raina Kabaivanska, Joaquin Cortes, Kiri Te Kanawa, and June Anderson.
This first-class international display, curated by the art and fashion historian Massimiliano Capella, debuted in the splendid setting of the piano nobile of the Sheremetev Palace in St. Petersburg – now the seat of the State Museum of Theater and Music – from where it will reach the Reggia di Venaria, the only Italian stop of this tour.
