Monday, June 23, at 12 am in the dining Columns of the Town Hall, there will be a press conference of presentation of the book "The history of the city to understand. The urban survey to know. Villages and towns of Turin".
The book, published by the Politecnico di Torino with the sponsorship of the City of Turin and CeSRAMP is the result of the work of four authors, all professors of the Politecnico di Torino, specialists in the history and importance of architecture and the city, which addresses the issue of the villages and hamlets.
The book has an extensive introduction by Bruno Gambarotta that, with jaunty prose, highlights the roots that places the villagers have kept in the history and culture of Turin.
It 'a work full of ideas, careful to highlight not so much a "Amarcord" of the past, as a prompt recognition of identity elements, sometimes survived tenaciously able to remember the precise connotation of a settlement.
Speakers at the presentation the Mayor Piero Fassino, the commissioner to 'UrbanisticaStefano Lo Russo and Micaela Viglino, Professor of "History of Architecture" at the Polytechnic of Turin and President of CeSRAMP.
