The Association of Secretaries' Voice and the Association Italo-Chinese and Chinese of Turin, under the patronage of the City of Turin, organizing the exhibition "The Charm of the ancient capital. The traveling exhibition of the sculptor Xu Hong Fei to the stop Turin Italy. "
These 36 works of sculpture, large and small format, bronze, wood and marble, which will be on display from June 12 to July 18 in an evocative and prestigious: the MAO-Museum of Oriental Art, the Royal Polo, the Reggia di Venaria Reale, Galleria Subalpina the monumental pool.
The vernissage will be held on Thursday, June 12th at 17:30 at the Polo Reale in Piazza Castello.
The master Xu Hong Fei is the most famous Chinese artist in the field of contemporary sculpture; born in 1963, is Rector of the Academy of Sculpture in Guangzhou. Author of numerous public sculpture projects throughout China, has exhibited in Thailand, in France, in Italy and in Sydney in Montepulciano (SI) and Zafferana (CT). In 2008 he was invited to Paris for an exhibition and in the same year, the International Olympic Committee selected him as the only sculptor to represent China at the "Olympic Sport & Art Exhibition." His work "A victory cheerful" is on display at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne. The artist draws his inspiration from friendship with the Chinese master Huang Yongyu, author of prestigious works in calligraphy, oil painting, watercolor, ink painting and woodblock prints. At the end of 1990 the two teachers reflect on a new art direction of Xu Hong Fei and the result is the famous series "Women chubby" (The Chubby Women), a collection of over one hundred sculptures, some of which are large . Maestro considers as good as the ability to love your body and the women portrayed, although affluent, are an example of lightness, independence and passion for life. His aesthetic vision is emphasized by the use of white marble, woods precious and bronze and gives the viewer a full representation of vitality and joy that has its foundation in a new canon of beauty and combines the spirit of Chinese tradition with the means of expression of contemporary sculpture.
