The Main Apartment of Palazzo Saluzzo Paesana continues its program of cultural events in 2014 with the exhibition of contemporary art "Resilienze 2.0" co-curated by Luciana Littizzetto and Caterina Fossati.
The exhibition, sponsored by the City of Turin, will be open from July 4 to September 19, 2014 in the noble spaces of the building and is inspired by the concept of "resilience", which in psychology defines the ability to cope in a positive way to the traumatic events of successfully reorganize their lives in the face of difficulties. It is the ability to rebuild their remaining sensitive to the positive opportunities that life has to offer, without losing their humanity.
The exhibition brings together the institutional framework of Palazzo Saluzzo Paesana the works of 10 international and Italian artists invited by the curators to decline the concept of resilience that is used today in many fields. Resilience in engineering means the ability of a material to withstand impact without breaking. In computing means to resist wear. In ecology indicates the ability of the ecosystem to maintain a balance when it comes to an external agent and invention strategies to rebuild it. In psychology, the ability to face adversity, to overcome them and get out of it even reinforced, and finally in geriatrics ability of the elderly, very sick and very compromise health care to meet unexpectedly ....
"From what we read, see, hear around you, there is not a general sense of the future. Indeed. Nor is it the most sense but deep conviction that nothing will really change. That was the past, the present and the future does not meet latita. This also breathes in the art world where there are few signs of modernity, research and many of those doldrums. The works, "They're" as in a very long still image. Almost as if there was more desire and above all time to invent, change, renew, be again.
Our intention is precisely this. Encourage young artists to share. To find the meaning. To investigate the possibility, to decline again some form of the future.
Tomorrow there. There is necessarily. Tap only exercise his eyes again to see it. There are energies that are missing lacks courage. The breath to go. To regain a sense. Each their own. It is said that everyone has to go in the same direction and this is the fun part. Giving back to form good thoughts. And do not be afraid to make mistakes. As Daniele Silvestri sings: "Because with what happens in a story like this, it's not that you can ask whether it is the right way to every corner, every traffic light there." The problems are not resolved: are exceeded. This is the secret. Try to bypass this and regain a sense of the future. We asked artists to help us see back away, eliminating our fucking cataracts and start to investigate the possible and the signs of rebirth".
