The exhibition Plastic Days, edited by Cecilia Cecchini and Marco Petroni, born dall'anali- you and the selection of about 600 objects from the collection of the Foundation Plart, Plastics and Art of Maria Pia Incutti-Paliotto, and consisted of an original story the large and diverse family of plastics. A witness who tells the transformations of the last century and years of history and that reveals the inner soul of modernity and of the mutations that have marked the domestic landscape and culture in which we are immersed. The plastic becomes a magnifying glass bet on social and economic dynamics of our time.
The objects on display represent a comprehensive selection of very rare artifacts from all over the world: first series production, pieces of large circulation of famous designers or design anonymous. A choice not intended to propose a detailed reconstruction of the history of plastics, but to create an exhibition able to draw a particular reading path of our time, revisited through a multidisciplinary approach between design, art and costume.
A broad vision, also evidenced by the interventions in the catalog of Cappellieri Alba, Laura Cherubini, Stefano Catucci, Gianluigi Ricuperati, Thea van Oosten and Anna Lagana.
The exhibition is completed interviews with Andrea Branzi, Donato D'Urbino, Paolo Lomazzi, Alessandro Mendini, Maurizio Montalti / Workshop corpuscles, Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farre- sin / Studio Formafantasma, Gaetano Pesce and Maria Pia Incutti, collector and president of the Foundation Plart.
