Return to exhibit with great pleasure in Turin (for the second time), at the Art Gallery Paola Meliga, Phil Borges.
Phil Borges is part of the "master artists" of American photography and not, that for over 25 years with passion documenting the lives of tribal people around the world, using the vehicle of "environmental portrait" to raise the issues of indigenous peoples and for disseminate their knowledge.
Award-winning reporter humanitarian, Borges moved from a mission and a spiritual journey and life that led him to go to the far corners of the world to give voice through his photography to really extraordinary and unique, which otherwise could not be revealed. His poetic ability to seize the moment suspended and the reporting of reality in its shade more truthful testimony and art combine to create a true vocation.
His is a photograph aimed at giving a voice to those who did not have it, who's mission is to re-evaluation of the cultures that are gradually disappearing, with an emphasis on their value and representing the challenges ahead. His work seeks to make more understandable the issues affecting the populations in the developing world: "I want the viewer to see these people as individuals, I know their names and a little 'of their history, that does not see you only as strangers who live in distant lands. "Award-winning for his humanitarian efforts in 2008 he worked with Amnesty International publishing Enduring Spirit, his photographic collections have been translated into four languages and his works are exhibited in museums around the world.
