Acrylics bright, contrasts of impact and elegant silhouette coexist in the exhibition "Colors&Motors" by Papito and Fabrizio Gavatorta.
Inspired pop painters, friends in life, Papito and Gavatorta, despite coming from different artistic paths, are in harmony one with the other for the energetic use of color and the open and flexible approach in the choice of subjects, always linked to each other by icons and symbols distinctive of figurative path of the two artists. The protagonist of this exhibition, as well as the creative use of color, it becomes even today the automotive world, the theme chosen in homage to the Mirafiori Galerie, permanent space dedicated to contemporary art housed within the Mirafiori Motor Village in Turin.
Here, then, that the exhibition presents some unpublished works. Papito chooses the legendary Fiat 500 which devotes two subjects - 500Submarine and 500SuperSexy - and the Jeep brand that makes up an American flag in style in AmericanFreedom. Fabrizio Gavatorta focuses instead on Alfa Romeo with four new works - Speed, adrenaline, Dynamism, Balance - that reflect the strength and appeal of the brand and some parts of the cars of Alfa Romeo.
Next to the unpublished dedicated to engines, the two artists exhibit their paintings of the most famous collections. Papito offers works by metropolitan subjects, all in acrylic relief, as the "dizzying" Jump series? and the colorful series Gelati. Fabrizio Gavatorta, known as the Painter of Shadows, just select 20 works of the cycle Shadowche credited in the art scene not only nationally. The subjects in this series - as the dream balanced, Red Sun, The flower in balanced tension - are a synthesis of color and passion characterized by clear signs and determined. The shadows shooting backlit silhouettes, these are objects, animals or people, making them strongly oppose backgrounds with violent colors that highlight the forms.
