Original prints engraved dal'incredibile genius PABLO PICASSO are the new exhibition entitled "PABLO PICASSO - The pride of the predator" that Elena Salamon is pleased to offer the space of his gallery in Piazzetta IV in March in Turin.
Boosted by his usual passionate and research work in the vast panorama of twentieth century art, Elena Salamon presents over fifty original prints, including lithographs, etchings and zincographs, crossing all the artistic periods of the Master: expressionism youth, the melancholic "blue period" and the most joyous "pink period", analytical cubism and synthetic before then, to Classicism.
Among the works on display: the original etching Les Pauvres on 1905, between the blue and the pink period, in years when Picasso is working hard in the engraving technique and produces the famous series Les saltimbanques of which the work is one the best examples; Dora Maarassise (1942), a portrait of the photographer Dora Maar, Picasso's companion for a long time and his muse, which comes to life breakdown of plans typical of Cubism; A couple looking at a picture (1966) stated tribute to esteemed painter El Greek and his painting El Conde de Orgaz; the famous dove of Picasso, the artist reinterprets the subject over and over again in his life, is represented in the exhibition by Colombe ruffles (arc en ciel) 1952 where the dove appears to literally walk through the rainbow with wings spread. Finally, we like to point out some of the thirty-two drawings of faces, as this is my heart, Diomedes and Euridice, that Picasso executed in one day, June 13, 1960, in the throes of an irrepressible creative impetus.
Leading the choice of works, quality criteria and cost to realize his deep desire to make known and promote the art. "Pablo Picasso - says Elena Salamon - is a revolutionary, a builder, essentially. The world is his prey, takes possession of concepts, colors, shapes and captures the lapels secrets of things and human figures, changing the rules of anatomy, perspective and composition in space. It is realistic, but never decorative or academic. Its strong point is the absence of rhetoric. Never satisfied, always started, renewing every time and scoring milestones in the history of art. Quote all the greatest artists never copy, reinvents and experience incessantly, transforming everything. Picasso changes the way you see things art; more than great painter was great artist, because of his inexhaustible innovative creativity, supreme designer, greatest of the great. "
All prints are accompanied by sheets drawn up in the light of recent studies and containing precise information about print runs, were, printers and publishers, taken from the catalog raisonné on the work of Picasso graphics.
