Encounteurs: Photography and Neorealism. Stories, documents and visions of the Italian postwar period

On the occasion of the festival on Neorealism promoted by the National Cinema Museum of Turin, Camera – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia presents a cycle of three talks, aimed at exploring the convergences between the most representative cultural movement of the Italian post-war period and the photographic medium.
On these occasions, which will take place on a weekly basis during the month of October, historians and scholars will examine several key themes, such as the intersections between photography and cinema; the birth of clubs and associations dedicated to promoting the photographic culture; the different experiences of documentary photography in Italy, Europe and the United States.
