"What are clouds?" is an exhibition of photographs by Dario Lanzardo made ??by the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences of Turin in 2009. This new production is today enriched by a scientific section of the Italian Meteorological Society. Text and pictures explain what are the clouds in science: from Luke Howard to modern meteorology.
The more than 60 large-format photographs are the result of a long process of reflection and are offered to the public under six readings themes:
How do clouds form
Clouds mythological and mystical
The face of the clouds
The color of the sky and clouds
Landscape with clouds
Clouds over the city
Poetry and science, then, but also religion and religiosity around one of the most impressive natural phenomena that have intrigued scholars, artists, ordinary people of every time and that Dario Lanzardo has skillfully represented in the photographic exhibition.
