Angelo Mereu. Oltre l’immagine

In 2002 Angelo Mereu debuted Oltre l’Immagine [Beyond the Image], the first Italian exhibition featuring photographs taken with a mobile phone, which he then printed himself on watercolor and parchment paper.
Since then, in parallel with that in the traditional field, he has continued this research, that has become more articulated in parallel with technological evolution, which now includes smartphones with real cameras.
So this is in one way a historical exhibition, whilst in another it is a way of taking stock of the new technical and expressive boundaries with which creativity has to come to terms today.
